Stefan Heidbreder: “For the long term and with a solid approach”
Stefan Heidbreder, born in 1967, has been Managing Director of the non-profit Foundation for Family Businesses since 2005. After studying business administration at the University of Bayreuth, Heidbreder worked as a manager and consultant for leading family businesses. He holds several lectureships, for example at the Technical University of Munich, and is a member of various national and international committees on the subject of family businesses.
“Family businesses not only create jobs and trust. They assume social responsibility in many areas. With a share of 90 per cent, they make up the majority of companies in the private sector and also employ almost 60 per cent of the workforce in Germany. They operate for the long term and with a solid approach, thereby strengthening the economy and society. To me, these are all meaningful reasons to advocate on behalf of family businesses,” says Heidbreder.
